Choose Your Challenge
Choose Your Challenge invites you to set a fall sustainable transportation goal from September 2 - October 13 and encourages you to achieve it!
To participate in this challenge:
- Set a meaningful sustainable transportation goal here. The goal simply needs to be actionable for you, such as using Park & Ride to work every Tuesday, making 20 car-free trips in September, or walking instead of driving to dinner with friends.
- Record when you use sustainable transportation on win.getDowntown.org or the getDowntown app. You can keep your results private or join a race to appear on a leaderboard as an individual or group. See "Races and Trip Recording Help" below for more information.
- Last, connect with us in person to receive a prize for setting or achieving your goal!

- Races and Trip Recording Help
-
“Races” on win.getDowntown.org allow interested individuals to see their results compared to other participants or groups. Races will appear on win.getDowntown.org from September 18 – October 13. Anyone can participate privately by recording trips without joining a race.
Individual Race: When you join an individual race, you can choose the screen name that appears on the leaderboard.
Group Race: The person starting a group race will create a team name and be responsible for adding their teammates to the group. Note that you will not be able to message your team within the app/website.
Finding Race Results: Use the dropdown menus to find the Race and results you are interested in. There are dropdowns to select between "Individual" and "Team" and a dropdown to select between Race categories, such as emissions, walking trips, and more. Click on your individual or team name on the leaderboard to see all your stats.
Private Results: View your own activity at any time on your profile page. You can use the dropdown menus to switch between views (such as bike trips this month or greener trips this week).
Exercise Trips: Please do not record biking, walking, or running trips that are purely for exercise on win.getDowntown.org. Walking, biking, and running to reach destinations (i.e., grocery store, workplace, cafe) is allowed.
