Road Closure & Bus Detours-S. State Street between Granger and Oakbrook

Please note the following road closure information from the City of Ann Arbor:

South State St. from Granger to Oakbrook: Monday, Nov. 26 - Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. Both directions will be closed to traffic for the installation​ of a duct bank for DTE. 

South University Closure

Monday, September 25-Friday, September 29, 2017.

Beginning on Monday, September 25, South University between Church St. and East University Ave. will be closed to vehicle traffic for storm drain and sanitary sewer work. 

Eastbound traffic on South University Avenue will be detoured south on East University Avenue, east on Willard Street, north on Church Street back to South University Avenue. Westbound traffic will be detoured south on Church Street, west on Willard Street, north on East University Avenue back to South University Avenue.

TheRide Announces Public Comment Period for Proposed Service Adjustments

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) has announced a public comment period for proposed service adjustments. The adjustments are a result of a scheduled review and evaluation of services, including those implemented during the first phase of the Five-Year Transportation Improvement Plan. As part of this review, TheRide noted an increase in overall ridership year to date of 5.7% in fiscal year 2017 with the biggest gains coming from weekend ridership.

Attention anyone who works, shops, or visits downtown Ann Arbor! The next wave of bus service improvements are launching August 23rd 2015.  And they are going to be awesome for downtown Ann Arbor!  Here's why:

1. Later Saturday Service. Until now, you couldn't take a bus past 6:45pm on Saturdays. Now you can!  Starting August 23rd, most buses will now run until 10-11pm on Saturdays.  This includes all of the popular routes to and from downtown Ann Arbor. Click for details.
