Attention anyone who works, shops, or visits downtown Ann Arbor! The next wave of bus service improvements are launching August 23rd 2015. And they are going to be awesome for downtown Ann Arbor! Here's why:
1. Later Saturday Service. Until now, you couldn't take a bus past 6:45pm on Saturdays. Now you can! Starting August 23rd, most buses will now run until 10-11pm on Saturdays. This includes all of the popular routes to and from downtown Ann Arbor. Click for details.

One of the signs of winter is just about to hit us. Daylight savings takes effect on November 1, 2014.
No matter how you get to work, the first thing you'll notice when you start your commute on Monday is that it's actually lighter in the morning.
The flip side? Your evening commute just got a whole lot darker.
This is a huge and fatal issue. According to MDOT, 4,743 pedestrians died in traffic crashes in 2012, while an estimated 76,000 were injured. And 70% of these fatalities occured during 6pm-5:59am.

If you regularly park in downtown Ann Arbor but are open to other options, this blog post is for you. Ask yourself these questions to figure out if you should drive and park downtown today or take the bus:
1. Do you live 3 or less miles from work? If you live 3 or less miles from work, you're in the busing sweet spot. This is the average distance of most downtown bus commuters. At 3 miles, chances are you can walk to a bus stop and get the bus downtown faster than you can get in your car and find a parking space downtown.

Strong employee growth among reasons for record go!pass ridership
A growing downtown employee base and high quality transit have resulted in record ridership for the go!pass bus pass program this year. According to recent data from the getDowntown Program (A program of TheRide), go!pass ridership from the beginning of the go!pass season (November 1, 2013) to July 2014 was at a record breaking 497,640 rides.
