Commuting During Art Fair
The Art Fair will run from Thursday, July 18th - Sunday, July 21st, 2019, with special events and road closures starting the morning of Sunday, July 14, 2019. Learn more about the details on the festival website.
Road Closure Schedule
- What roads are closed?
Street closures during Art Fair include Main Street, State Street, Liberty, and Maynard.
The follow roads WILL NOT be closed during Art Fair so use these if you need to get around by car:
- Huron Street
- Washington from First to State
- Ann Street
- Fourth Ave
- William from Main to Thompson
- Fifth Ave
- Driving & Parking
Please be aware that downtown structures will be filling up quickly during Art Fair. If you do want to park downtown, here's what you need to know:
- Parking fees are $15 per day and $7 after 5pm.
- Parking at the 415 W. Washington Lot (across from the Ann Arbor YMCA) is $7 per day.
- Monthly parking permits may be used.
- Parking meters will be in effect in the same manner as usual.

AAATA Park & Ride lots
Park at one of 5 Park & Ride locations around Ann Arbor during Art Fair and throughout the year! Find more information and a listing of all lots. Parking is free!
- Shuttles & Trolleys
Looking to get around the fairs easily? Use the A2 Art Trolley (map here) to shuttle between and around the fairs. Art-Go-Round links all fairs, and is FREE all day. Buses & Trolley are wheelchair accessible and air-conditioned.
AAATA ArtFairRide Shuttle
One location: Briarwood Mall. Parking is free; Round trip: $3; One-Way $1.50, go!passes are not accepted on these Shuttles.
Shuttle Stops: Main Street at William and State St. at S. University. Buses return to the Briarwood Mall parking location from either shuttle bus stop. Please note: The Pioneer High School location will be served by another Art Fair shuttle provider, as well as TheRide's routes 24 and 25.
Trinity Northside Art Fair Park & Ride Shuttle
Parking is free; Round-trip $3. Northside: Huron High School (2727 Fuller Rd, 48105), Shuttle Stops: Washington at Fletcher and Forest at S. University
- Getting Around the Art Fair
Avoid the hassle of parking downtown with Park & Ride or Shuttle bus options.
Many AAATA buses will also be on detour. See detours.
Check out the downtown road closures. You will not be able to park at bike hoops on closed streets. Your best bet for bike parking will be in parking structures or non-closed streets. For more information on bike commuting, Guide to Bike Commuting in Downtown Ann Arbor.
