Ypsilanti Transit Center Study
Published: Thu, 10/05/2017 - 5:19 PM
A study has been initiated by the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) to assess the Ypsilanti Transit Center (YTC). The goal is to learn how riders, local businesses, and community members understand and use the Ypsilanti Transit Center as their transit center.
The staff of TheRide and their consultants, Wendel, will collect, review, analyze, and evaluate input they receive about the YTC to develop possible solutions to improve operations and address customer needs and community aspirations. The results of this assessment, which includes in-depth public and stakeholder involvement, will be used to determine possible alternatives for the YTC for potential grant funding in the future.
There will be two public meetings during for this project. The first meeting will be held:
Monday, October 23, 2017
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Eastern Michigan University College of Business
Gary Owen Building
300 W. Michigan Ave.
Ypsilanti, MI 48197
The intent of the meeting is to introduce the project; discuss the vision, needs, goals, and objectives for the facility; and discuss current challenges riders face. The second meeting will be held in early 2018 to review facility alternatives. The date and location will be announced closer to the meeting.
Anyone who would like to provide their input on the YTC may do so at one of our public input events, or by completing a short survey, found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YpsilantiTransitCenter.
