New FlexRide Service and Multiple Route Adjustments Start August 25
 

ANN ARBOR, MI –  The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) is  introducing two-way service on several routes and adding FlexRide on-demand service in Pittsfield Township with its new Fall service schedule beginning on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
 
Based on comments received during the public input period held earlier this year, the following adjustments and improvements are being implemented to improve on time performance and to enhance service to the community.
 
Service adjustment details are available in the online version of the Fall Ride Guide, on buses and distributed to more than 300 local businesses.
 

  • Route 21: Amtrak-Depot
    • Blake Transit Center departure times adjusted

 

  • Route 24: S. Main-East
    • New two-way service between Washtenaw Avenue, Washtenaw Community College and St. Joseph Hospital on weekdays and Saturdays
    • Adjustments to schedule and bus stop locations

 

  • Route 25: Ann Arbor-Saline Rd.
    • New two-way service along Lohr Rd. and Oak Valley Dr. to Meijer
    • Route 25 to become Route 27 at Ann Arbor – Saline Rd. Meijer

 

  • Route 27: W. Stadium-Oak Valley Dr.
    • Blake Transit Center departure times adjusted
    • New two-way service along Lohr Rd. and Oak Valley Dr. to Meijer
    • Route 27 to become Route 25 at Ann Arbor – Saline Rd. Meijer

 

  • Route 31: Dexter Ave.
    • Select Blake Transit Center departure times adjusted

 

  • Route 61: Airport-Avis Farms and Route 67: Platt-Michigan Ave.
    • Routes 61 and 67 are being replaced with FlexRide on-demand service, offering connections to Routes 5, 6 and 66 at Meijer-Carpenter Rd. and Route 6 at Costco

 
 
Service on the campuses of Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan will return to their regular service.
 

  • Route 41: EMU College of Business Shuttle
    • Service resumes on September 4, 2019 during Eastern Michigan University’s Fall and Winter semesters when school is in session.

 
 

  • Route 62: U-M – State
    • Service frequency to increase to every 9-12 minutes during mornings and afternoons and every 38 minutes in the evenings during the University of Michigan Fall and Winter semesters when school is in session.
