The getDowntown Program is a resource on commuting options for all downtown Ann Arbor employees. We are here to assist you in anyway that we can! Here are just a few ways we can help:

• Personalized assistance with commute planning. Would you like to ride the bus, but you’re not sure which route is right for you or even how to read the route guide? Do you want to start biking to work, but not sure what bike/gear/route would work for you? Not sure who to contact about sidewalks that aren’t been shoveled? If we don’t have the answers to your questions, we’l l find someone who can answer them for you and serve as your advocate along the way if necessary.

• Rent a bike locker. We have bike lockers for rent in 7 locations downtown.

• Sign-up your place of employment for go!passes. If you’d like a go!pass, but you’re not sure how to ask your employer to sign-up, we can help. Over 300 downtown businesses participate in the go!pass program because they know it’s a good business practice, we can help make the case to your employer too.

• Help your workplace become more supportive of sustainable transportation options. Employers have long seen the benefit of providing accommodations for employees who drive to work (paid parking, access to nearby parking lots), but often overlook the needs of employees who bike, walk or ride the bus to work. We can work with your employer to help them see the benefit of promoting and supporting sustainable transportation choices. Just a few potential benefits to your employer are: lower parking costs, healthier workforce, less paid time off, more satisfied employees.

• Information on free, local resources . We can help direct you to free bike commuting and maintenance workshops, maps, publications, and local organizations that can better assist you in your commute.
