(Click here for a list of Curb Your Car Month Walk Events)

--Want to walk downtown? Check out this great Walk Map produced by the DDA. You can also get a paper copy at downtown parking structures and at the Chamber of Commerce Office at 115 W. Huron 3rd Floor.

--Want to know how far you have to walk? Check out the Gmaps pedometer. This nifty little program lets you see how long (in miles) in takes you to get from one place to another. Simply plug in an address, zoom in, click "start recording" and double click on a starting point. Then keep clicking on points in the direction you want to travel until you reach your destination. Gmaps does the rest.

Bike

(Click here for a list of Curb Your Car Month Bike Events)

--Get you Bike Maps online here. We've also got Bike Maps over here at the Chamber that show you preferred cycling routes.

(Click here for a list of Curb Your Car Month Bus Events)

--Don't know where the bus stops downtown?  The DDA Walk Map has all of the AATA bus stops within the downtown area on it.  Pick up a map at the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce if you need one.

Route 10: The Route of Unique Gifts

In the spirit of Curb Your Car Month and the fact that Mother's Day is in May, getDowntown Brings you another Route of the Month, written by writer Laura B.

This month's route is Route 10: Ypsilanti - Northeast

Route 10: The Route of Unique Gifts

None of the usual Mother's Day presents appealed to me. Flowers and chocolates are unimaginative. Magazine subscription?--she already gets a zillion. Then it occurred to me: my three favorite spots for unusual gifts are all on one AATA route, the number 10 circling northeast Ypsilanti. . . .

Thanks and Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoy this year's Curb Your Car Month!

Please feel free to contact me so I can serve you better.

Sincerely,
