Planning Commission Public Hearing
October 5, 2006Before adopting the City's Non-Motorized Transportation Plan, the Planning Commission is accepting public comments on the document. The purpose of the plan is to identify the means to establish a physical and cultural environment that supports and encourages safe, comfortable and convenient ways for pedestrians and bicyclists to move throughout the city and into the surrounding communities.
With the exception of recommending a case by case review of sidewalk bike route signs (all of which should be removed immediately), this plan is great. Come voice your support for the non-motorized plan and the need for infrastructure improvements for pedestrians and cyclists! The Planning Commission needs to hear this is a priority for Ann Arbor cititzens and commuters.
The Planning Commission Public Hearing will be held at 7pm in the Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall (5th and Huron). The doors will be locked, you will need to buzz the police department to be let into the building.
