Bike Maintenance Clinic
February 27, 2008Time: 7pm
Location: Great Lakes Cycling and Fitness (2107 W. Stadium Blvd)
Bring your bike and get ready to learn! These
classes generally run 1-1.5 hours depending on the size of the
class. This is a great opportunity to come in and learn the basics
of what you can do for your bike. The skills you'll learn here are
invaluable as a cyclist. Having these skills you'll be able to do
basic routine maintenance as well as on the road emergency repairs.
There is nothing worse then getting a flat out on the road and not
having the ability to fix it, thus having to walk home. Nobody
likes to walk, that's why we ride bikes!
All attendees will be able to purchase what they need after the
class for a 10% discount
In each class, staff from Great Lakes will explain how
to:
- diagnose problems with your bike
- change brake pads
- do minor adjustments to the drive-train
- realize when your bike is unfit to ride because of winter conditions
- outfit your bike and yourself for winter commuting.
For anyone interested in attending our bi-weekly maintenance clinics, please fill out this form. Also, remember to bring your bike when you attend. There's nothing like gaining hands on experience with your own equipment. Thank you!
