Florian began his journey in March, 2006, in Germany. He traveled through Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Rumania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, then through Tibet from north to south. He arrived in Katmandu in Nepal in August, 2006. Hear about his fascinating experiences when he recounts his 7000-mile adventure of a lifetime.
Florian Block was born in 1981 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, and is currently a Ph.D. student in mathematics at the University of Michigan. In addition to biking, he enjoys playing the trombone in various jazz bands, orchestras, and with his own jazz combo.
