Join getDowntown Program Director Nancy Shore and attorney Tom Hammerschmidt, Jr. from Dickinson Wright to learn how your business can save money by taking advantage of a variety of commuting benefits.
This event is part of getDowntown's Commute Chat lunch
series. Tom Hammerschmidt from Dickinson Wright will discuss
the Commuter Tax Benefit, which provides tax savings for employers
who pay for parking, transit or vanpool costs for their
employees. You will also learn more about the new Bike
Commuting Benefit that provides a tax break for employees who
commute to work by bike. In addition, Nancy Shore will discuss
other strategies businesses can use to save money, including
creating a transportation stipend, encouraging employee use of Park
and Ride Lots, low-cost downtown carpool parking and more.
