CYCM 08 - Ypsi Bike to Work Days
May 2, 2008Meet up with local Ypsi-to-Ann Arbor commuters every Friday in
May for a leisurely ride to work.
We will gather in the morning on May 2, 9, 23 and 30 at 8:00am
at Bombadill's coffee shop (217 W. Michigan Ave) for specials on
coffee and baked goods.
From there we ride to St. Joseph's Hospital and Washtenaw Community College, through Gallup Park, across U-M central campus, and end up in downtown Ann Arbor.
We will reverse our route for the trip home, leaving at 5:15pm
from AA City Hall (100 N Fifth Ave) and ending at Haab's (18 W
Michigan Ave in downtown Ypsilanti) for free happy hour appetizer
with every bike helmet!.
Riders are welcome to join or leave the ride wherever is most
convenient for their commute. Feel free to ride with us out to AA,
home to Ypsi, or both. Helmets are strongly encouraged.
On May 16, there is a 'Bike to Work Day Rally' sponsored by
the League of Michigan Bicyclists at 8:00am, so we will be leaving
from Bombadill's at 7:15am in order to catch some of the free food,
give-aways, and good biking energy. The ride home will leave, as
usual, from City Hall at 5:15pm.
If you are a bike commuter who can't ride with us or uses a
different route, please feel free to join us for pre-work coffee at
Bombadill's or Bike Ypsi Happy Hour at Haab's every Friday in May!
