CYCM 08 - Bike to Work Fridays

Fridays in May are your chance to try biking to work. If you want to lead a ride from your house to your job on Fridays and would like to invite others to join you, please contact getDowntown at getdowntown@annarborchamber.org

Other people will be leading Bike Rides on Fridays from different locations in the Ann Arbor Area. Please view their info below

May 16th is a special Day where we all bike to City Hall for Bike to Work Day and a chance to win prizes!

Participants in the Commuter Challenge will get a point every time they Bike to Work and an extra point for trying biking for the first time in May. You will also be entered in weekly drawings for bike-related gear if you commute by bike at least one time during the week and logging your commute on the Commuter Challenge.

People leading rides on Bike to Work Fridays:

1) Mark Clary, University Hospital employee

--Depart at 7:30 am:

--Starting Location: Corner of Barton and Pontiac Trail in Ann Arbor (but could pick people up along the way or nearby)

--Major Roads: Pontiac Trail, Broadway, Division, State Street, South Industrial, Maiden Lane and East Medical Center Drive

--Destination: University Hospital, U of M Orthotics and Prosthetics Center at the corner of Eisenhower and South Industrial Highway in Ann Arbor

--Starting Location: 7th and Huron

--Major Roads: Washington, Williams, 5th, Packard and Stadium

--Destination: Eastover Professional Building

3) Eli Cooper, Curb Your Car Ambassador, City of Ann Arbor Employee

--Depart at 7:30 am

--Starting Location: Gallup Park, near the Livery Building

--Major Roads: Huron, 5th Ave., Fuller, Huron Pkwy.

--Destination: Huron and 5th Ave (City Hall).

4) Kris Talley, UM Hospital Employee

--Depart at 8:30am (except not riding on 5/23)

--Starting Location: Zion Lutheran Church (at Liberty and Virgina)

--Major Roads: Liberty into town and on to N. Campus

--Destination: UM North Campus
