Commuter Profile
Every so often the getDowntown Program profiles a downtown employee that commutes to work using a sustainable mode of transportation (bikes, walks, buses, carpools, etc.).
The individuals we profile have chosen not to drive alone to work for lots of reasons... cost, convenience, health, environmental concerns. But whatever the reason, they all have one common trait. They actually enjoy the way they get to work! They're not stressed out about all the money they're spending on parking or worried if they're going to have to hunt for a parking space.
Sure they have their own challenges, but in general they've found that by not driving they're actually reducing the level of stress in their lives. Take a few minutes to read their stories & learn what has and hasn't worked for them.
We're always looking for people to profile. Give us a holler (214-0100 or nancy@annarborchamber.org) and suggest a future commuter profile. We'd love to profile you or one of your colleagues.
