Commuter Challenge Step 2
Here’s some info about Step 2: Encouraging employees to become Ambassadors
This year, we are giving employees the chance to designate themselves as Bike, Walk or Bus Ambassadors during the Commuter Challenge. Ambassadors can help you encourage others in your organization to try a sustainable mode of transportation.
Please note: Anyone in an organization can be an Ambassador and there is no limit on the number of Ambassadors your organization can have.
Here are some sample emails that you can send out encouraging employees to become Ambassadors. Hope it helps.

Sample email: Become an Ambassador
Subject: Become an Ambassador during the Commuter Challenge!
Dear ,
Our organization is signed up for the Commuter Challenge this year. As part of the Commuter Challenge, we’d like to have people like you sign up to be Walk, Bike and Bus Ambassadors.
You might make a good Ambassador if:
--You already walk, bike or bus to work and want to encourage others to do the same.
--You want to motivate yourself and others to use sustainable transportation
--You want your own Curb Your Car Month t-shirt!
You can learn more and sign up to become an Ambassador here: http://www.getdowntown.org/programs/commuter/Ambassador.html
In addition to getting your very own Curb Your Car Month t-shirt, Ambassadors volunteer to spread the word about sustainable commuting throughout the month of May.
Being an Ambassador can mean anything from attending some of the great Curb Your Car Month events like the Bike to Work Rally, to blogging for the getDowntown blog
So join the fun and help make a positive difference for the environment and for the people in our organization.
