Commuter Challenge Prizes for Employees
From May 1-May 31, 2008 employees will earn a point for every day they log their sustainable commute on the Commuter Challenge website. Employees will also earn an extra point for any new sustainable commute they try.Employees will be eligible for the following prizes based on the number of Commuter Challenge points they have at the end of May:
1-4 points: Free coupon for a scoop of ice cream from the Washtenaw Dairy and a chance to win one of 200 getDowntown mini carabiner keylights
5-10 points: Free coupon for a scoop of ice cream from the Washtenaw Dairy and the chance to win one of 200 gift cards from Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea, Espresso Royale or Starbucks and one of 100 getDowntown stainless steel tumblers.
11-14 points: Free coupon for a scoop of ice cream from the Washtenaw Dairy and the chance to win UM gear or a pair of tickets to the Ann Arbor Symphony, Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, Ann Arbor Civic Theater or the Kerrytown Concert House.
15 or more points: Free Coupon for a scoop of ice cream from the Washtenaw Dairy and a chance to win one of 50 $25 gift certificates from a downtown restaurant, a $100 gift card from Big George’s Appliance Mart or a custom-made desktop teeter totter from Teeter Talk.

Commuter Challenge Prizes for Organizations
The organization with the highest participation in the Commuter Challenge in their organizational category wins!
The organization with the most points in each size category will win the following prizes:
1 person organization: $50 Ann Arbor Gold gift certificate for the winning organization.
2-9 person organization: Free tea tasting from Arbor Teas for everyone in the winning organization.
10-24 person organization: Free Pizza Party from Cottage Inn Pizza for everyone in the winning organization.
25-99 person organization: Free Coffee from Espresso Royale and Donuts from the Washtenaw Dairy for everyone in the winning organization.
100-499 person organization: Free 10 minute massage coupons from Relax Station for anyone in the winning organization that participated in the Commuter Challenge.
500+ person organization: Free coupon for a movie at the Michigan Theater for anyone in the winning organization that participated in the Commuter Challenge.
Other Prizes and Awards
Organization Awards
The winning organization in each organizational category will receive a “Commuter-Friendly Organization” Award from getDowntown and a custom made treat from Schakolad at a special Awards Ceremony. You will be notified if your organization wins this award.
Super Commuter Award
At a special awards ceremony getDowntown will present a grand prize “Super Commuter” award to one special employee. Organizations participating in the Commuter Challenge will have a chance to nominate an employee for this award. To nominate someone from your organization for the Super Commuter Award, fill out the Super Commuter Nomination Form.

Monday go!pass drawings: Every Monday in May we will draw 2 go!pass numbers at random to win a prize. The winning numbers will be put on the AATA and getDowntown websites, as well as posted at the
Tuesday carpool/vanpool drawings: Every Tuesday in May we will draw a winning name at random from all of the people who have logged at least one carpool/vanpool commute on the Commuter Challenge that week. Prizes include Waterbottles from Moosejaw, gift cards from downtown coffee shops and more!
Wednesday walking drawings: Every Wednesday in May we will draw a winning name at random from all of the people who have logged at least one walking commute on the Commuter Challenge that week. Prizes include a commuter backpack and gift certificates from
Thursday transit drawings: Every Thursday in May we will draw a winning name at random from all of the people who have logged at least one bus commute on the Commuter challenge that week.
Friday bike drawings: Every Friday in May we will draw a winning name at random from all of the people who have logged at least one cycling commute on the Commuter Challenge that week. Prizes include bike bags, lights, etc.
