Park & Ride Lot Information

The AATA offers several Park and Ride Lot locations serving downtown Ann Arbor.  You can park free all day at one of these Park and Ride lots and ride the bus downtown to work.  And with your go!pass, the bus ride is also free!

AATA Park & Ride Lots

Miller Road Lot (click here for a map)

This lot is located within the interchange of M-14 & Miller Rd (exit 2).
  • Who should use this Park and Ride Lot? Good for employees coming from the West and Northwest Side of Ann Arbor (including Scio Township, Dexter, Chelsea, Williamsville, Pinckney, etc.)
  • Which AATA Bus Routes service this Lot? Route 18 Miller-University and Route 609 Dexter-University
  • How long does it take to get downtown from this Park and Ride Lot? About 11 minutes.
  • How often does a bus come to this Park and Ride Lot during peak times (7am-9am in morning, 4:00-6:30pm at night)? About every 25 minutes.
  • What are some common downtown destinations served by this Park and Ride Lot?  Huron and Main Street (By County Courthouse), Huron and Fifth Ave across from City Hall, Michigan League (State Street Area), Blake Transit Center (Fourth and Liberty).

Green Road Lot (click here for a map)

This lot is located on the west side of Green Road south of Plymouth Road.
  • Who should use this Park and Ride Lot? Good for employees coming from the Northeast side of Ann Arbor (including Plymouth, Northville, Livonia, Redford, etc.)
  • Which AATA Bus Routes service this Lot? Route 2 Plymouth, Route 2c branch
  • How long does it take to get downtown from this Park and Ride Lot? About 20 minutes
  • How often does a bus come to this Park and Ride Lot during peak times (7am-9am in morning, 4:00-6:30pm at night)? About every 30 minutes.
  • What are some common downtown destinations served by this Park and Ride Lot?  Michigan League (State Street Area), Kerrytown, City Hall

NEW! Plymouth Rd Park and Ride Lot (click here for map)

This lot is located within the interchange of US-23 & Plymouth Rd (exit 41).  The entrance is accessible from Plymouth Rd, or from the ramp from southbound US-23 to Plymouth Rd.

  • Who should use this Park and Ride Lot? Another option for employees coming from the Northeast side of Ann Arbor (including Plymouth, Northville, Livonia, Redford, etc.).  However, the Bus Route from Green Road is more direct.
  • Which AATA Bus Routes service this Lot? Route 2 Plymouth, Route 2b branch
  • How long does it take to get downtown from this Park and Ride Lot? About 30 minutes.
  • How often does a bus come to this Park and Ride Lot during peak times (7am-9am in morning, 4:00-6:30pm at night)? About every 15 minutes.
  • What are some common downtown destinations served by this Park and Ride Lot?  UM Medical Campus, Blake Transit Center (Fourth and Liberty)

Pioneer High School Lot (click here for a map).

A quick 5-minute trip to downtown on Routes 7 or 16.  This lot is located on S. Main Street, south of Stadium Blvd.
  • Who should use this Park and Ride Lot? Good for employees coming from the South or Southwest Side of Ann Arbor (including Milan, Lodi Township, Saline, Pittsfield, etc).
  • Which AATA Bus Routes service this Lot? Route 7 South Main-East and Route 16 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd
  • How long does it take to get downtown from this Park and Ride Lot? About 10 minutes.
  • How often does a bus come to this Park and Ride Lot during peak times (7am-9am in morning, 4:00-6:30pm at night)? About every 25 minutes.
  • What are some common downtown destinations served by this Park and Ride Lot?  Main and William (Main Street Area), Blake Transit Center (Fourth and Liberty), Main and Madison (South Main Street Area).

State Street Commuter Lot/U-M Tennis Center Lot. (Click here for a map)

These two lots are located on the west side of State Street, north of Eisenhower, across from Howard Cooper Honda.
  • Who should use this Park and Ride Lot? Good for employees coming from the South Side of Ann Arbor (including Saline, Milan, Pittsfield etc).
  • Which AATA Bus Routes service this Lot? Route 36 Wolverine Tower Shuttle
  • How long does it take to get downtown from this Park and Ride Lot? About 12 minutes.
  • How often does a bus come to this Park and Ride Lot during peak times (7am-9am in morning, 4:00-6:30pm at night)? About every 12 minutes
  • What are some common downtown destinations served by this Park and Ride Lot?  Michigan Union (State Street Area), Michigan League (South University Area).

Casual Park and Ride Lots

  • In addition to the Park & Ride Lots run by the AATA, there are other locations where many people will park their cars and ride the bus to work.  These locations may include shopping area parking lots and Ann Arbor Parks parking lots.  Please note, since these are not "official" park & ride lots you are parking at your own risk.  Want to find out if its ok to park somewhere?  Ask getDowntown.
  • The Following Casual Park & Ride Lots have been confirmed as safe to park at:
    • Huron Parkway and Nixon: There are public parking spaces on Huron Pkwy., just east of Nixon that are intended as a small park and ride lot. Huron Pkwy runs east-west at the roundabout at Nixon.  The spaces are on the south side of Huron Pkwy., just east of the roundabout, adjacent to the Plymouth Mall parking lot.  You can take the Route 1 or Route 2C bus from this location to downtown.
    • Veteran's Park in Ann Arbor: There are public parking spaces at Veteran's Park in Ann Arbor.  The best place to park is on Dexter Rd.  There is a bus stop for Route 609 right next to the parking area.  Please note: there is no winter maintenance of this lot.
