Riding the bus to work is an easy, economical and convenient way to get to work in downtown Ann Arbor.

go!pass

If you work downtown, you are eligible for a go!pass. Your go!pass lets you use all Park and Ride Lots and AATA Buses for free.  You can also get discounts at area businesses.

For New Organizations: Ordering 2007-2008 go!passes

*2007-2008 go!passes are good from November 1, 2007 to October 31, 2008

You may order go!passes at any time during the year.

For Organizations who already have go!passes: Replacement and Additional go!pass forms.

Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA)

The Ride : The AATA offers flexible and convenient bus service from a large geographic area. It costs $1 to ride the bus one way, if you don't have a go!pass.  AATA's service area includes the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area and connections serving Chelsea & Dexter. This makes commuting to your job downtown even easier!

  • Park & Ride : AATA also has a number of Park & Ride lots located throughout Ann Arbor, which allows employees who downtown to commute part of the way by car, and the rest of the way by bus. Forget the hassle and cost of parking downtown!
  • Bike the Ride : AATA has also installed bike racks on all of their buses, which allows more options for combining biking and busing to work. Now you can ride to work by bike and ride home by bus if there is a change in your schedule, your workload or the weather.
  • The Link : AATA’s downtown connector route The Link, makes it easy to get around downtown once you’re here. The Link connects the four areas of downtown Ann Arbor Main Street, Kerrytown, State Street, and South University.

Ordering Ride Guides and Other AATA Materials

Need more Ride Guides?  The AATA can ship Ride Guides (bus schedules) to your place of business.  Businesses can call the AATA Community Relations Department at 677-3916 or email lcrawford@theride.org to request Ride Guides. The AATA can even put you on their mailing list to receive Guides automatically each time they are published.  Individuals and businesses can also order Ride Guides and other AATA materials by clicking here: request AATA publications.

University of Michigan Bus System

The University of Michigan bus system is often overlooked by Ann Arbor residents not affiliated with the U of M. However, the buses are free to all and run frequently. Depending on your commute, they may be just the right solution for you. View UM transit routes and schedules.
