Volunteer Opportunities
Become a Bicycle Ambassador
Do you love to bike? Would you like to help make it safer to be a bicyclist in Ann Arbor? Volunteer to be one of Mayor Hieftje's Bicycling Ambassadors! This joint program between the City of Ann Arbor and the getDowntown program aims to help all road users- cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians- better share the road. The Ambassadors attend community events to deliver messages to promote cycling and road safety. Bicycling Ambassadors must agree to volunteer at three events between the months of May and September.
Committee Members
The getDowntown program is also looking for enthusiastic individuals interested in assisting in planning & programming efforts. We need your ideas & energy to make our educational programming like Curb Your Car Month and Ann Arbor Bike Winter bigger and better.
Event Volunteers
Don’t have a ton of extra time, but still want to help out? We need individuals available to help out occasionally at events. It’s a great way to get involved in your community and meet other people passionate about promoting sustainable transportation.
For all volunteer opportunities please contact Program Director, Erica Briggs, at (734)214-0100.
